History
The KEEP Foundation was founded in 2009 by Jim and Cari Frizzell, a father/daughter team facing student loan payments after Cari's graduation from Grand Valley State University. Speaking to other recent graduates, they realized the severity of the financial crisis Americans are facing and wanted to do something to help.
Founders & Staff
Cari A. Frizzell An Alumni of Grand Valley State University with a dual degree in management and marketing, and a sociology minor. She knows how it feels to struggle financially through college and has always had a passion for helping those in need. “Getting a degree is a big step for most students these days. There is a huge time and financial commitment involved. Some students are trying to survive all on their own. This non-profit organization can help them succeed in life with as little stress from financial worry as possible and that is what we are here to help them do.” Contact Cari.
James K. Frizzell, Sr. is the owner of Professional Concrete Construction. He has worked in the concrete/construction field for over 20 years. He is also highly involved in his church by being a Deacon, an usher, he was a youth pastor for many years, and he runs prayer meetings once a week. He wants to help the generation after him succeed both financially and spiritually. “With the economy in a recession, we need to help our children obtain a college degree with as little debt as possible. We need our children to bring us out of this recession but how can they if they are worried about their own debt?” Contact James.
